A Call to Rebuild: Help Restore a Historic Duvall Landmark
We are rebuilding.
But we need your help to finish. Read our story and hear how you can donate.
For over a century, our church has been more than a building. It has been at the heart of our community in Duvall, Washington. Built in 1913, shortly after our town's founding, our landmark church with its distinctive steeple stood as a testament to the pioneer spirit and enduring faith of generations. Tragically, in 2020, this cherished building was lost to a fire.

Original building - early 1900's
Our Story
Our small congregation of 32 dedicated members has demonstrated remarkable commitment to this vision. Together with former members who still hold this church dear, we have already raised $500,000 - 80% of this amount by past and current members. This represents extraordinary sacrifice from people of modest means who believe deeply in what this church represents.
The new building honors our heritage while meeting modern safety standards. We're reconstructing the church to mirror the original design, complete with the beloved landmark steeple that has guided residents and welcomed worshippers for generations. However, we now face an unexpected challenge: new expenses and city requirements have added $321,000 to our project costs for street drainage updates, road resurfacing, and underground utility installation.

Current construction
More Than a Building
For over 15 years, our church has operated a free food program, providing groceries to community members facing hardship with no questions asked and no religious requirements. Our dedication to this program has continued, even as the fire and construction required us to change locations.

Our facility has provided free meeting space for:
- Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPs) support groups
- Narcotics Anonymous recovery meetings
- Trail Life for Boys and American Heritage Girls youth programs
- Dinner theaters
- Mental health first aid training
- Many more events and programs over the years
The Need
We need to raise significant funds to reopen our doors. The new road and sidewalk foundations cost $115,000. Unexpected increases to stormwater management beyond the initial design was another $25,000. Moving power lines underground as required by Duvall and connecting to the building will total $193,000. These and other unexpected expenses have exhausted our set-aside contingency expenses, and we need an additional $321,000 by mid-November to complete construction. These funds will once again make this building a welcoming space for worship, community service, and support programs.

Every contribution brings us closer to completion:
- $50 helps purchase building materials
- $100 supports major construction milestones
- $1,000 significantly advances interior finishing work
- $10,000 helps critical infrastructure requirements
A Community Investment
When you support this project, you’re helping restore a defining piece of Duvall’s history while creating a vibrant space for the entire community. This vision includes safer, well-lit sidewalks, improved traffic flow on Broadway, and welcoming gathering areas where neighbors can connect. Families will find a natural playground for children surrounded by beautiful landscaping. And above it all, the recreated steeple will rise once again as a signal that the heart of downtown is alive and thriving. This is more than a building - it’s a place where history is honored, community life flourishes, and the future feels hopeful.
We've come so far. Please help us finish strong.
